General Information

Food quality is evaluated by examining the physical, chemical and biological properties of foods. Studies are carried out to investigate and report the effects of processes applied to foods on quality characteristics.

Applications

  • Antioxidant activity, determination of total phenolic substance etc. spectrophotometric analyzes can be made in foods.
  • Food packaging can be made.
  • pH can be determined in foods.
  • Textural properties of foods can be determined.
  • In solid and liquid foods measurement of solid matter, refractive index measurement, sugar content measurement, water content measurement, and brix ranges can be measured.
  • Water activity can be determined in all kinds of foodstuffs.
