General Information

Determination of micro and nano dimensions of materials, determination of elemental and chemical compositions of materials, analysis of materials such as chemical bond information.

Applications

  • Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic compounds and provides specific information about molecular structure, chemical bonding and molecular environment. The durable, high-performance diamond ATR of the instrument provides high quality spectral data. It also allows the analysis of volatile liquids.
  • Properties such as strength, chemical reactivity, opacity, fluidity and material strength in materials depend on the particle size characteristics of the materials. In this context, zeta potential and particle size distribution measurements can be performed.
  • Scanning electron microscope is used for sample preparation to determine the simultaneous micro/nano structure of inorganic and organic materials.
  • In a fully integrated fluorometer device with two detector ports, measurements up to 1650 nm and fluorescence lifetimes up to 25 ps can be measured.
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry is an analytical technique in which molecular bonds are broken and atoms ionized by sending samples to a high-temperature plasma, usually argon.
