TÜBİTAK–NRDIO International Bilateral Cooperation Project Receives Funding
The project titled “Development of Novel Matrix Metalloproteinase Inhibitor Drug Candidates for the Treatment of Myocardial Infarction,” submitted under the TÜBİTAK – NRDIO (Hungary) International Bilateral Cooperation Support Program and led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arif Mermer, a researcher at the University of Health Sciences Experimental Medicine Research and Application Center (DETUAM), with Prof. Dr. Erkan Türker Baran serving as a researcher, has been awarded funding.
Within the scope of this university-industry collaboration project, it is aimed to develop novel MMP-2 inhibitor drug candidates for the treatment of myocardial infarction by utilizing artificial intelligence-supported modeling, computational drug design, and molecular simulation methods. Through these studies, the project seeks to contribute to the development of safer and more effective cardioprotective treatment approaches.
We congratulate our esteemed faculty members who contributed to this project and wish them continued success in their scientific endeavors.
