Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS)

Perkin elmer-NexION 5000 Quadrupole ICP Mass Spectrometer
Device Description
The NexION® 5000 multi-quadrupole ICP-MS is the first in its category to have four quadrupoles – innovatively designed to meet and exceed the demanding requirements of ultra-trace elemental applications. Providing extremely low background equivalent concentrations (<1 ppt, including hot plasma) and exceptional detection limits, ICP-MS performance extends beyond the traditional triple quadrapol, allowing for reproducible results.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_row][/vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_tabs active_section="1" css_animation="fadeInUp"][vc_tta_section title="Device Specifications" tab_id="tech"][vc_column_text]
- The Quadrupole Ion Deflector (Q0) directs ions to the inlet of the first mass filter.
- Conduction Analyzer Quadrupole 1 (full size for Q1, <0.7 amu mass resolution) acts as a mass filter or an ion guide to direct ions into the Quadrupole Universal Cell.
- Quadrupole Universal Cell (Q2) powered by dynamic bandpass adjustment prevents side reactions with gases remaining in the cell.
- Conduction Analyzer Quadrupole 2 (Q3, full size for <0.7 amu mass resolution) acts as a mass filter or ion guide to direct ions to the detector.
- Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) provides both high and low concentration by increasing the linear dynamic range to 1012.
