“The Future of Animal-Free Technologies” Discussed at the Bioexpo Panel

The panel titled “The Future of Animal-Free Technologies: Compliance with EU Regulations and Innovation in the Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device Industries,” featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Katı, Deputy Director of the Experimental Medicine Research and Application Center of the University of Health Sciences, as a panelist, was held as part of the Bioexpo Life Sciences Exhibitions.

Together with leading experts from the sector, the panel comprehensively addressed the importance of in vitro toxicology for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, the role of in silico and predictive toxicology approaches in innovative solutions, and compliance processes with European Union regulations.

The panel speakers included Prof. Dr. Ahmet Aydın, Samim Saner, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Katı, and Selin Arslanhan.

Throughout the event, the advantages of animal-free testing technologies in terms of environmental sustainability and human health were evaluated, while opportunities for innovation supporting compliance with EU legislation and sectoral transformation were discussed.
