One of the researchers of our center, Dr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arif MERMER, one of the researchers of our center, is the researcher of the 1002 project titled “Synthesis of Propofol-like New Generation Hybrid Molecules and Determination of Anesthetic Properties by Molecular Texturing Method”, which is carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil DEMİRCİ from Giresun University, has been decided to be supported by TÜBİTAK.
One of the researchers of our center, Dr. Assist. Prof. Dr. Sevde Altuntaş and Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Sevde Altuntaş and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Katı, researchers of our center, were entitled to support the project titled “Investigation of the Effectiveness of Antimicrobial Peptide Produced from Waste Chicken Feather to be Used as Feed Additive in Broiler Ration in In Vitro and In Vivo Conditions” prepared within the scope of TAGEM R&D Support Program 17th Project Call.
The 1001 project titled “Establishment of a Wheat-Specific Microbial Consortium and Design of a New Biofertilizer Formulation through Immobilization of the Consortium into PolyHipe Polymer”, which is carried out by Prof. Dr. Yelda Özden Çiftçi, a faculty member of Gebze Technical University, and in which Dr. Özge Dinç is a researcher at our center, has been decided to be supported by TÜBİTAK.

The Water Institute of Turkey will contribute as a project partner together with Marmara University Department of Environmental Engineering, General Directorate of Food and Control Istanbul Pendik Veterinary Control Institute and Health Sciences University International Medical Faculty to the project “Establishment of a SARS-CoV-2 Surveillance System for Public Health Using Wastewater Sludge Monitoring”, which is entitled to be supported by Istanbul Medipol University International Medical Faculty and China Capital Medical University within the framework of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Protocol between TÜBİTAK and China National Natural Science Fund (NSFC). Dr. Halil Kurt, a faculty member at our center, is working as a researcher in the project.
The 1001 project titled “Identification, Biochemical Characterization and Biotechnological Applications of New Xylanase Enzymes with Different Extremophilic Properties Originating from Anatolian Water Buffalo Rumen through Sequence Homology Based Metagenomics Approach” with the number KBAG 121Z943, which was carried out by Dr. Yusuf Sürmeli from Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, where Dr. Halil Kurt, a faculty member working in our center, is a researcher, was decided to be scientifically supported in the 2nd semester of 2021 within the scope of the Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program.

Prof. Dr. Özge Erdemli from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Başkent University visited our Center as a guest researcher between August 23 – September 3, 2021, hosted by one of our researchers, Dr. Assist. She visited our Center hosted by our researcher Dr. Bengi Yılmaz.
