Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA)

TGA 8000 (PerkinElmer)
Device Description
It is a technique in which the mass of a sample is monitored as a function of temperature (thermal) or time (equilibrium) in a controlled atmosphere and under a controlled temperature program. With the TGA device, properties such as melting and sublimation temperatures, mass loss/gain, phase change and oxidation of different materials can be determined.
- Temperature operating range: 20-1200oC
- Minimum temperature: -20 oC
- Maximum temperature: 1200 oC
TGA is a common analysis method in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Polymers, foods, pharmaceuticals and other
It is applied on many materials.
